I almost puked when he pulled his tooth out. What the hell is it with the trend in tooth trauma this year? First, there is the bloody bundle of teeth in The Blair Witch Project and now this!

Creepy film. I have not seen The Sixth Sense yet, so I must be the only one who was able to see this film and not compare the two. Which is a blessing, because I failed to see a review that hasn’t compared them. Anyway, I liked Stir of Echoes a lot, though not as much as Stigmata. Stir of Echoes was nowhere near as visually interesting to watch, but it was far more stressful. Everyone was so stressed, veins popping out and all that shit. The only mellow one in the film was the kid. I highly recommend this film if you want a good freak-out, but DO NOT go while on substances. It would probably scar you for life.

Did you know that this is Kevin Bacon’s 349th film? (I know the Internet Movie Database only lists 45, but that is a different story entirely.) No wonder the Kevin Bacon game works so well, he is in every damn film ever made! In this film, he is the noble blue collar man, ala Tremors (that film is the only time I have ever found Kevin Bacon sexy – am I sick or what?). He is pretty good, but tends to be a little too freaked at times. Illeana Douglas is pretty entertaining, her bug eyes make her look like one of those freaked out psychic types.

Go see it, but not drunk and not alone!
