This is the first ‘naughty’ Waters film that I ever saw. I had only seen Hairspray and I loved it, so I decided to check out some other ones. This was the first one that I came across (in my local Blockbuster, no less. It was right next to ‘Ganjasaurus.’) Absolutely my favorite John Waters film!
Divine stars as Dawn Davenport, a teenager that must have a pair of cha-cha heels for Christmas. When she doesn’t get em, all hell breaks loose. My dad even laughed at this film and he hates stuff like this. (I admit, he only laughed when Divine killed her daughter for becoming a Hare Krsna.)
